International Airport Terminal

At CASA Consulting, the $1.7 million design-build New Terminal 1 project marked a significant milestone at San Diego International Airport with its topping out. There was a beam signing, a catered BBQ lunch, and an exciting raffle for the crafters.

Travelers will have access to more amenities and a large selection of concessions at Terminal 1.

The project will be fueled by renewable electricity and has a focus on sustainability with elements that are robust to climate change. Redesigned taxiways and the terminal’s architecture are intended to shorten aircraft taxi times, which would cut greenhouse gas emissions dramatically.

Metro Vancouver HQ

The Metro Vancouver HQ project involved a large-scale fit-out of 16 unoccupied floors totaling 263,000 square feet in Burnaby’s Metro Tower III. Our scope included a variety of spaces, such as multiple office floors and two specialty levels with an integrated boardroom equipped with auditorium seating and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, a connected staircase, and a commercial-grade cafeteria—all of which were carefully planned with security measures in place. We addressed issues including staff management, materials handling, and logistics while working simultaneously in different areas of a large site. Leading preconstruction services helped create the framework for a more efficient 11-month construction phase. During the busiest part of building, AT CASA managed a network of 39 crafts with over 130 experienced workers.

I identified and addressed project risks in a timely manner, which helped to mitigate potential issues and keep the project on track.

Sky Tail Tower

The American Financial Group, Inc.’s headquarters are located in a new 41-story high rise office building in downtown Cincinnati that AT CASA Consulting provided construction management services for. Standing 665 feet tall, the skyscraper is encircled on the street level by a pedestrian plaza. The building’s main attraction is a 400-ton steel tiara that was inspired by Princess Diana’s headgear. Three main parts made up the project: an 11-story, 1,600-spot parking garage; an 800-thousand-square-foot, 33-story office skyscraper situated atop part of the garage; and a public pedestrian/walking area featuring retail space. The 303 Broadway structure, which houses 188,500 square feet of office space and a 650-car parking garage, is the initial phase of this project.
